Stress and Its Inevitable Consequence: Hair Loss
The stress and hair loss are interrelated. They can’t be separated. Stress has this one inevitable result, i.e. hair fall, in both men and women. Stress is declared as one of the major causes of hair loss. It is scientifically proven that acute psychological anxiety and depression result in hair loss of men and women equally.
The reasons of stress can be many. For example, a difficult divorce, pregnancy, stressful workload and work environment. All such issues can create stress and creates a hormonal imbalance in our body resulting in excess flow of tallow production in our scalp resulting in scalp disorder of hair loss.
Hair loss due to stress is more common in men than women. As men often has more stressful situations to deal in the outer world than women comparatively thus, men suffer from hair loss and becomes bald sooner. There could be three types of hair loss in men namely, hereditary hair loss, stress, and lack of vitamins and proper nutrition. The least severe is the stress related hair loss which can be treated easily through stress relieving treatments and physiotherapy.
On the contrary, women are less prone to the hair loss due to stress than men. But however in some cases women also suffer from stress related hair fall especially working women. Women hardly suffer from complete baldness even if they suffer from hereditary baldness. All that happens to them is that their hair becomes fragile and thin and breaks while combing or taking a bath.
However, you can reduce stress by yoga or other mental relaxation methods and by listening to your favorite music and exercise such as swimming or running. This allows your mind to distract itself from stress related affairs and becomes relieved hence resulting in less hair fall. In severe cases when stress becomes depression, you should consult a doctor and should go on medication that helps reduce your depression as well as hair loss.
