If you have never heard about a menstrual cup or a reusable period cup - unfortunately you are not alone. Although there are many reusable menstrual products available on the market today - the majority of women still are not even aware that there is an ALTERNATIVE to tampons and sanitary napkins. OK I'm usually not the one to use scare tactic to convince people to do things that I think they should do (like giving up tampons, and start using silicone menstrual cups for catching menstrual flow).
